What are the element reactions in Alchemical Cascade?
There are three key reactions. Water and magma combine to form solid rock, permanently sealing that section of the cave. Plants exposed to water transform into vines, which can open up new pathways. Vines that come into contact with magma are destroyed instantly, closing those corridors.
What is a freeze spell tile?
A freeze spell tile is a hazard scattered through the cave. Stepping on one temporarily immobilises your character, preventing any movement for a short time. Being frozen while your rival is collecting gold nearby can quickly flip the lead, so avoid these tiles whenever possible.
What happens if I collect the same amount of gold as my rival?
A tie does not count as a win. If both you and your rival end the level with equal gold totals, the game declares a draw with the message "It's a draw! But the house wins." You must collect strictly more gold than your rival to advance.
Does my rival get eliminated if it hits magma or a freeze tile?
No. Your AI rival is never permanently eliminated. If the rival hits magma or gets frozen, it recovers and continues competing. Only you face a permanent game-over from magma contact, which makes hazard awareness far more critical for you than for the AI.
